Now stocking version 3.2 of Repashy Superfoods new and improved formula!

Hi Everyone, Hope your all doing well with your little reptile friends. Just to let you know we are currently working on expanding the site to include our other reptiles including the Gargoyles, Bearded and the Frilled dragons :)

Also I'm tasked with the job of improving our online store which is a huge job but there are so many products no yet listed so there will be lots of new stuff to spoil your little friends with!

Second hatchling is out and was found on the 28th July but another flame/harly morph but they may turn out to be full on harlequin's given that the parents are harly's too. Well you would assume so but these guys should develop more colouring as they grow up.

I also tried to weigh them but my scales are not very accurate as they barely register as 0.1g. Give them a few months and as they grow and shed we should get some accurate weights.  I'm hoping to keep track of these and plot them over time which should be interesting.

Sorry for the low quality pic's but having camera problems! have seen a nice lighting box in Maplin's to think I'll take a trip down there this weekend :)

Haray! our latest eggs from Lou and Ozzy are hatching. If you have followed the site you will know that we are going to track the progress of some Cresties from newly laid eggs. The first was discovered late on the 26th July 2010 and one other is due any day now.

First Crestie out after 98 days!! Eggs were left at 22-25C give or take on a shelf and no incubator was used. When I found him he was moist and recovering so he was left for a further 8 hours before moving into a basic plastic setup. If you do this you run the risk of the Crestie moving the other eggs but in this case I left him. Newly hatched Crested geckos are surprisingly fast and jumpy so be warned! I don't like to handle them much after hatching but he seemed happy and jumped straight into those plants and rested for several hours.
I returned late in the evening about 10pm to see him heading over to the water bowl. Gave me another chance to check him over and no problems were found. This is basically one of our starter kits with a few more plants in it. I always have a clean setup on standby when eggs are about to hatch.

Hello everyone! Hope your all enjoying the sunshine :) Our cresties are doing great and our recent eggs from Lou and Ozzy are coming along nicely. Been doing quite a bit of reading and catching up with the Practical Reptile Keeping magazine. I haven't mentioned it before so consider it mentioned and recommended! If you love your cresties check out this months magazine as its got a great article on floppy tail syndrome which you should take a look at. Also it mentions a lot about genetics and the dangers of captive bread animals inheriting genetic problems that would not normally happen in the wild due to natural selection.

An interesting read and hopefully we will be able to stock it here soon.

We had a fun day out in Portsmouth at their annual breeders fair. Great selection of Cresties and and strong turn out for leopard geckos and high quality Pythons. I loved the Piebald Pythons but sadly a little out of our budget, maybe next year! A well organised event and well worth a visit next year :)

Sticky feet Reptiles support Summer Hill Veterinary Centre at their open day to raise money for stray's. In fact they help almost any animal who no longer has someone to look after them!

The event was a success and the reptile corner generated some great interest.

Keep up the good work guys!!
