Welcome to the stickyfeet.co.uk website!
Part of the fun in breeding Crested geckos is
producing strong colours and patterns.
Here we will document our breeding projects and
hopefully produce some fantastic examples of morphs we know and love, such as
the pinstripe, harlequin, flame, creamsicle and dalmatian.
The Pinstripe..
The Pinstripe has to be my favourite morph of
Crested Gecko and with the warm weather coming breeding season is only round the
corner. This is a perfect time to pair up some adult Cresties to hopefully get
me one step closer to an awesome pinstripe.
What does a Pinstripe look like?
A pinstripe is a Gecko which has white lines
running down each site of its back. Usually from the back of its head down to
the tail. I hope to upload some nice pictures showing each morph in detail soon.
Here in the UK we don't have as many good
examples as our friends in the US. So if you know of any wanting a new home get
in touch!
I have had a harlequin for about a year now who
shows the Pinstripe trait and luckily its a female. She is also a good size and
weight and this year I'm sure she will start breeding. The pinstripe is not too
clear in these images but there is enough colouring to make her part of this
project. Unfortunately I'm still on the look out for a male with similar white
colouring but for now she will pair up with another harlequin. Lets wait and see
how the hatchlings look. Either way this is a great looking Gecko so her
offspring will be a real treat.
